Schizophrenia Definition: .

  Based in the "Medlineplus article it says":

 Schizophrenia is a complex mental disorder that makes Poor :

•    Distinguish between real and unreal experiences.( it is  an emotional state out of the social reality)
•     Think logically.
•     Normal emotional responses.(motions and behavior,  false beliefs or thoughts that have nothing to do with reality (delusions),hearing, seeing or feeling things that are not there (hallucinations)
   
• Symptoms vary  depending on the type of schizophrenia you have:
  
  
   1)Catatonic Schizophrenia: Lack of emotion (flat affect),the muscles and posture can be rigid , strange facial expressions,not react much to other people.
        
  2)The disorganized schizophrenia: the thoughts "jump" between unrelated subjects (disordered thinking), Issues to think and express ideas clearly,childish behavior.
      
  3)Paranoid schizophrenia :  Eager, Angry or argumentative,False beliefs that others are trying to harm them or their loved ones

 Based in  "the Mystery of Schizophrenia" youtube video  it says  causes it could be  :

1. A genetic predisposition: also  they have found significant evidence relating to other chromosomes as of a region of chromosome 6, 11 and 18 which may help explain the failure thinking and memory associated with schizophrenia,("Virus, Biological causes") in the  "Genomic DNA"
2. Ambiental factor : its is beginnig to be considering as a  virus that affect some parts of the brain involved as:the Hipocampus,Thalamus, Prefrontal,Frontal and OccipitalBrains parts  who are in charge of some serotonines, so when a a person present a disorder of this kind this subtances are going to have an imbalance and the  "Role of stress" (cortisol)  
3.   Also ,in the same video they  mentioned  the creation of two new cell lines. "Stem cells" which can be induced to become brain cells such as neurons involved in the search of a possible cure of Schizophrenia

  Making reference to this article it says that this doctor  found  a Research carried out at the University of Edinburgh that  reveals that people who develop schizophrenia years before symptoms show accelerated brain shrinkage brain scans of 146 young people between 16 and 25.They Were subjected to scanning every 18 months during a period of 10 years.Dr. Andrew McIntosh, who led the study, said: 

"This research represents the culmination of more than 10 years of work and is an important step in understanding the origins of schizophrenia years before the appearance of disability."

   

   

Possible Treatments for Schizophrenia based in my knowledge aquired in my carreer and  could be:

1. Behavioral family therapy: applied jointly to the patient and family, ( For example Costa Rica  Fucopez association, 2003-2011).   
2. Individual psychotherapy (including regularly scheduled meetings in which the patient talks with a psychiatrist)with health education working in the selfsteem-image, orientation and cognitive aspects.
3. Self-help groups (for the family and the person with the disease) working in social skills.

•  MEDICATIONS: psychotic or anti-anxiety as :

fluphenazine
aripiprazole
clozapine
risperidone
Haloperidol (Haldol)

thioridazine.

 Personal opinion:
As I final comment I think it is necessary to understand Psycology is growing as  Neuropsycology science, and thanks to all this news investigations, Psycology is becoming a neuroscience especialized in our biological origin the brain. I think understand more about Psycology open the mind to the others because nowdays it is a reality our mind it is changing , the Psycology vision has grown, and now Psycology  is a global Pioneer of Mental Health.
It is important to understand Neurpopsycology it not only about brain functions it works all the emotional aspects , it improves to new knowledge always hand in hand with our emotions. 
Because, we can forget the sense of Psycology or the point of origin it is our human behavior that define us as innate emotional  humans beings, with innate dysfunctional thoughts. Nowdays our actittudes have changed, the way of thinking, which has produced guidance as part of the evolution the growth of certain disorders and a irrational behavior  that in the past had not risen as today, due to our evolution as part of emotional growth and human development. And here it is the purpose of Psycology in all it aspects , Psycological branches and evolution as a knowledgeable and understanding of human behavior dedicated to the dysfunction and evolution of human behavior. To increase the necessary investigation and knowledge of what shapes us as rational beings today  as an example with the Schizophrenia Disorder and how nowdays are finding new conclutions to adapt this disorder to the human behavior as a part of the evolution. So, it is necessary to improve  a "mental health" vision to the  people to adapt them to the reality of what nowdays compose the human behavior to work  together in improving the understanding, access and mental health of our development hand with the Neuropsycology. Thus, our behavior based on culture, society, ethnicity , beliefs, that shape us as a rational whole.
