Reflections about my learning process

 

What do you know as a result of participating in the class discussion that you did not know before?

 

Well, there are a lot of things that I learned as a result of a enriching learning process and classes discussions. But I can mention the importance to relate all the viewed topics with my career. For example, in the spiritual renewal theme, I understood again that we cannot only work, study, and work and study... no, we need a privacy time in which we share with ourselves and God. As a result, I believe that people are stressful, bitter, distressed and unmet because they do not have free time to resolve their internal problems. Also, when I saw the internet addictions topic, I was alarmed because we think that is normal to stay more than 4 hours in front of the computer but it is not normal, so it can explain why people do not have healthy relationships with their family and friends because now all is by Facebook and Messenger. For that reason, I felt amazed by these news but at the same time, I learn about it.

What can you do as a result of participating in the class discussions that you couldn’t do before?

First, I expand my knowledge, also I learn how to handle the pressure of making a speech in public because I was a little bit shy, but thats not an obstacle anymore, as a result, I learn to enjoy more and to stress less about homeworks and classroom activities.
Since I started to study English, for me, was difficult because I did not have enough vocabulary to speak in real conversations, but with the time, I enrich my knowledge and experience while I talked with others.


What could you teach someone to know or do as a result of participating in the class discussions that you couldn’t teach them before?

As I said before, I learn to enjoy more than stress by things, now I can teach them to try to delight as much as they can in everything they do. Also, I can show them how to express better in an oral presentation in order to avoid mistakes because when you are a new speaker you can easily commit errors, so it is important to know little things like for example to keep the looking on the audience, to be dynamic in your speech and to argue your ideas. Finally, it is important not to memorize your ideas because you need fluence at the moment you are giving your speech, in addition, you are going to feel relax and knowing your ideas by heart.
